Because the operator has an unobstructed direct line of vision to a height of 4-feet 7-inches (1.4 m) to a distance of 3-feet 3-inches (1 m) from the machine when laden, the JCB 7T-1 Hi-Viz complies with ISO 5006: 2017(Earth-moving machinery - Operator's field of view). The direct line of vision is 77 percent better than similar size site dumpers.

A widened wheel track and lengthened wheel base substantially improves stability in all directions. Combined with a unique bucket design and lowered chassis, this lowers the center of gravity by 16 percent, to reduce the risk of overturning the machine.

Standard on the JCB 7T-1 Hi-Viz, the JCB SiTESAFE™ operator environment offers the ultimate combination of safety and operator comfort. This Level II ROPS/FOPS cab with integrated protection system was designed and tested to withstand a front dump impact and side slewing impact from a 29,000 lb (13,000 kg) excavator. There's also an impact-protective front screen, toughened side and rear glass and reinforced frame for improved protection.
